Tiny Soapbox Tiny Soapbox

Got ideas? We thought so.

Tiny Soapbox is a quick, effective way to explain your ideas, findings, and insights — and make sure people find out about them. We believe that a good explanation shouldn’t look just like an ordinary sentence.

How does this work? Think of an explanation as a tangible object. When
you get up on a soapbox to explain something, you create a Tiny Soapbox: An at-a-glance
view of your explanation (example below).

A Tiny Soapbox is an at-a-glance view of an explanation. This is an example.
This Tiny Soapbox associates an action with a result. It includes supporting evidence (data, findings, examples) to support the explanation — and yes, it all happens in a tiny space.

Another example. Here, Cathy, a software product manager, explains why she believes her company should adopt a freemium pricing model: She claims this will result in more paying customers. As supporting evidence, she references a research report. A Tiny Soapbox is an at-a-glance view of an explanation. This is an example.

This Tiny Soapbox application represents only one of the many ways the methodology can be implemented. For more information about applying Tiny Soapbox to the work you’re doing, visit
